Dr. Edmonds decided early on that he wanted a career in the dental field. He received a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Chemistry and Math (graduating Magna Cum Laude) in 1975 from Wichita State University. While at WSU, he received many awards and honors, including the American Institute of Chemists student award certificate for the “Most Outstanding Student Majoring in Chemistry,” and the American Chemical Society “Highest G.P.A“ award and associate membership.

Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with distinction from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He received many awards and honors in dental school, including Valedictorian (of 160 dental students), graduated Summa Cum Laude, member Omicron Kappa Upsilon (National Dental Honor Society), member Phi Kappa Phi (University of Missouri Honor Society), recognition from the School of Dentistry Alumni Association for “Superior Scholarship and Professional Development,” and the Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity “Highest G.P.A." award.

Dr. “E” practiced general dentistry for 11 years and developed a very successful dental practice in McPherson, Kansas. As his interest in the field of orthodontics grew, he decided to continue his education by attending a two year orthodontic specialty training program at one of the top orthodontic programs in the country, the University of Iowa. There he received the degree of Master of Science (MS) in orthodontics and became a certified orthodontic specialist.

In September 1992, he successfully completed the specialty license examination of the Board of Dental Examiners, and joined Dr. Paul Boatwright in the exclusive practice of orthodontics and dento-facial orthopedics in Topeka, Kansas. Our office serves patients from all over central and NE Kansas, including Topeka, Lawrence, Manhattan, and Kansas City.
